Let’s consider a standard Power BI report containing a matrix visual displaying the net sales in USD by business unit, item name and item number.

To add a new dimension including the Power Platforms definitions, you can proceed as follows:

• Select the matrix visual containing the sales data with by a single left button mouse click
• Go to the Fields panel on the right side of the screen
• Type Power Platform

• Drag the Power Platform field and drop in the rows section right above the Kemin Business Unit column

• The visual will be updated as follows

• Click on the drill down icon to expand the hierarchy
