The report helps to monitor the sample status of the Labvantage dataset, emphasizing those that are out of spec, retested, and resampled. A key feature of the report is to exhibit all resampled test results of a sample in one line.

The report contains six slicers, which you can use to filter the information you need. The top table (Table 1) showcases all the information about each sample. Some information included are whether a sample was out of spec, whether it is retested, the result of the test, the specs, sample disposition, and batch disposition. Out of Spec column has value “pass” for in spec, and “fail” for out of spec. Retested column has values “Y” and nulls, where “Y” confirms the sample is retested.  The bottom table (Table 2) presents the result for all dataset for each sample and test.  Some samples are retested up to seven times, hence there are up to seven columns in Table 2.

The test results are recorded as a text data type in the Labvantage database since some results are recorded in words instead of numbers. Since the data type is text, calculations are not possible because calculations require a number data type. Therefore, the values one sees in the bottom table are not averages, but just the first text that Power BI recognizes.

The data of the report is refreshed five times a day and at the following times: 5am, 8am, 11am, 2pm, and 5pm Central time.

The report is connected to the labvangateprod server of the uskilvsql1.ki.com server.
