Prisym – Item Numbers with less than 10 Characters

This document goes through the setup of M3 data going to Prisym when the item number is less than 10 characters.

Item numbers in M3 have many different configuration, and many full item numbers are less than 10 characters. Prisym has a requirement that needs the item number to be minimum 10 characters. To address this, some logic has been added to the Prisym Label Print form (LBL100) in M3 that checks the length of the item number, and if it is less than 10 characters, M3 will add -PRI-PRI to the item number in the data sent to Prisym. An example would be S012190. When adding this item number to the Prisym Label Print form, the item number going to Prisym would be S012190-PRI-PRI. This happens automatically with no additional M3 configuration.

The data files in Prisym for this item will need to be setup as below.

KLabel will be setup with the item number as it comes from M3.

KProduct will use the family item number.
