This article describes the Power BI solution used to generate certificates of analysis for Singapore.
The solution is intended to support the creation of a certificate of analysis documents by pulling the necessary data from Labvantage Prod and M3 live data.
For this, the report uses 2 connections:
- Connection to the Production Labvantage database (used to pull COA details)
- Connection to M3 live data database (used to pull lot number information using the item number and invoice number)
The solution is available at the following link: CoA Report Generator - Power BI
The report requires 4 inputs to be executed:
- Type the invoice number and press "Enter" (for example 21001435)
- Select the Item number from the "Item number" dropdown (for example 009936-37-US)
- Select the Lot number from the "Lot number" dropdown (for example 210210117)
- Select the Batch Id from the "Batch id" dropdown (for example B-20210216-00045)
- Please select single/multiple values under analysis, based on your requirement
- After selecting all the values, you need to click on View report on the right corner.
Only if the invoice number and item number are properly mapped to the lot number on M3, the lot number dropdown will be populated. The lot number needs to be mapped to a batch id on the LV server in order to populate the batch id dropdown. Please note that you will be able to generate the report if and only if all the five parameters have values.
Once the output is generated you can export to a PDF file by clicking on Export and then PDF (.pdf)
The pdf version of the certificate will be downloaded to the \Downloads folder on your computer.
