Problem

The Product Group and/or Product dropdowns in Nexa are empty

The Product dropdowns in Nexa are missing products

Background

Previously, the products list in Nexa were filtered to your BU using the facility. In the new M3, products are manufactured in regional OPS facilities. As a result we had to make changes to Nexa to reflect that new standard. Product dropdowns in Nexa are no longer filtered by BU. Instead, the dropdowns will show products manufactured within the entire region. These changes are specific to the new TITAN M3 system and have been implemented in order to accommodate changes in how the new M3 functions.

Solutions

Empty Product Group and/or Product Dropdowns - Region:

Product dropdowns across Nexa are filtered based on the Region field of the related Company. If the Product Group and Product lists are both empty, it is because there is no Region selected on the Company.

  • Go to the related Company
  • If the Region field is blank click Edit and select the correct region from the list
  • The Region field is located in the 'Market Segmentation' section of the Company
  • Even if the Region was previously added to the company record, it should be verified that the Region is still selected on the Company. Occasionally the Region value is being overwritten by the M3 Company sync if the Region is blank in M3.
    • If the region has been overwritten with a blank on a Customer or Delivery address, please manually select the Region in Nexa again, then contact CS as ask them to add the region to the Customer in M3 so that the Nexa record will not be changed to blank again.

Sample Request - S type Products:

In the new TITAN M3, there are new products called Sample products that begin with a letter S. As a result, on Sample Request the drop-down will ONLY show Sample products. Because the decision was taken to only create sample items for now in MMS001 in sts 10, due to a lack of time, many MMS002 and MMS003 records are still missing in M3 and cannot appear in Nexa.

Searching in the dropdown:

Once you have selected a Product Group, you can type in the dropdown list to search for a Product. If the product does not appear, try searching for only part of the name or part of the Item number. Formatting may have changed as part of TITAN.

Next Steps

IMPORTANT: Products are ONLY added to Nexa by M3. Products are NOT MANUALLY added to Nexa by the Nexa team. Missing Products should only be escalated to Nexa tier 3 IF all of the solutions listed above have been attempted, IPRA and CS have already added the product to M3, IPRA and/or CS have verified the Product setup in M3, and it has been more than 48 hours since the product was added to M3.

If a Product is still missing after trying all of the above, reach out to CS and/or the IPRA BPL in the region.

The IPRA BPL usually coordinates the item setup in M3.

On the Titan SharePoint page, you can find the list of IPRA BPL’ s per region: Digital Transformation - Regulatory Affairs Team – Project Titan.

Scroll to find the BPL in the middle of this page. They might be able to help you when a product is missing from M3 and as a result, from Nexa.

CS process for sample requests only:

  • When they have a sample request, they first need to check the status of the sample item in MMS001.
  • If the status is still 10, they need to warn IPRA and WH
    • IPRA will create PDS001/PDS002
    • WH/LOG will create MMS002/MMS003 à Once MMS003 connection is done, even if sts of the sample item is still 10, a Nexa sample request can be created (because of the MITBAL table used)
  • Then Finance checks all configuration and puts the status of the sample item to 20. IPRA communicates to CS when that is done.
  • CS can then enter the CO in M3 (after the sample request was approved of course)

M3 Configuration criteria for Nexa:

Products must meet the following criteria in M3 in order to pull into Nexa.

Products are NOT added to Nexa if

  • Product group is 600 or 800
  • Item number starts with Y, M, or TEMP
  • Sales Item is 1 or 2

If a Region has multiple instances of the same item number, we will only add one

  • example: if the N. America Region has 5 instances of Item Number 12345678, we will only add one instance of Item Number 12345678

The Product list in the drop down is filtered based on

  • Product Group selected on the record
  • The list will only show Products for the Region selected on the related Company
    • Using the value in the Region field selected on the Company that the record is related to.
  • Product Status is not 50, 80, or 90
  • Item Type is not SPL

Note:  The Product dropdowns on Sample Requests will use the same logic plus be only show Sample products. See above for more info on Sample Products
