What is OME (OpenManage Enterprise)?
Dell OpenManage Enterprise is an infrastructure management console that allows IT staff to discover, deploy, update, and monitor Dell PowerEdge servers remotely.
How to onboard Dell PowerEdge Servers in OME?
Requirement:
- Check if have followed this solution article to onboard your user account in OME portal: https://kemin.freshservice.com/support/solutions/articles/11000138263
1. Browse to URL https://uskiome1.ki.com/ to access the OME portal and Log in with your s-account
2. From the OpenManage Enterprise menu, under Devices, click All Devices.
Click on Discovery button and select Discover devices.
In the new created discovery job fill in the following fields:
- Device type: Server
- How would you like to connect to server(s)? Select Dell iDRAC
- Fill in Dell iDRAC IP Address
- Fill in Dell iDRAC credentials
And click on Run Now.
From the OpenManage Enterprise menu, under Monitor, click on Jobs to check progress discovery job.
